I hate when your talking about ferguson/police brutality/racism and people are like “what about black on black murder, why don’t you protest that”

Like wtf

1. Black people murder other black at the same rate that white people. About 90 percent of black people are killed by another black person. And about 90 percent of white people are murdered by other white people. So sit down. I hate the whole argument about black in black crime and the media propagandistic rhetoric that tricks the masses into believing that blacks are just mindless violence subhuman beings that run around killing each other. They’re never talking about the problem with white in white crime so why emphasize black on black crime

2. People get mad at police killing innocent black men because I’m not paying taxes so that police officers and profile and attack my brothers as cousins. How Come James Holmes shot up a movie theater and killed several people, police were able to detain him and arrest home without getting violent and he is still alive to this day, yet if a black man is even suspected of being a criminal he is shot with his hands in the air as a sign if surrender.

God bless. real talk. This is John Legend’s official account, and a real tweet.

You know what really gets to me, and I’m sure many know this, is the blatant abuse and betrayal that white photogs display in POC countries. Every time a photo has gotten famous like this photo did in history, the actual focus of the photo is left behind in the dust while the white photog is hailed as a hero for displaying the ills of that country. He didn’t even fucking ask her name. He didn’t ask for 17 years. The world knew nothing about her life and her story. He captured one moment that made him famous and she got nothing.
Every time I see this photo, I seethe.
